lol.....

This picture is from a dentist appt earlier this year....

Let's see

We have a 4th grader, an 8th grader and a Junior in college.....

It's been a pretty great year. Busy Busy Busy.

Kyle had braces put on, Haley has been involved in everything she can(no comment) and Alex is working and going to school. So proud of them!

My dad moved to SC, my mom is doing pretty good. We lost a family friend(Sharon Willis) earlier this year. It was completely unexpected and very sad.

Hoping the rest of the year goes by slowly so that we can breathe!

Happy Fall!

end of 2012 and early 2013, in a NUTSHELL

This picture is from Jon and Staci's wedding in September. I will say that Kyle looks quite handsome.

All in all, everything is going pretty good. Been going to Zumba 3 days a week for about 5-6 months and now going to add in another day, ready for results!

Jon and Staci just informed us that Kyle is going to be a big brother! So excited for him!

Staying busy, as usual, with the kids' schedules.

Alex has officially moved in to her own apartment, and we assume doing ok. She doesn't stay in touch the way we would like, lol. But she is an adult and that is our problem :o)

SUMMER OF 2012

MY OH MY, this year is flying by. Alex is 19, 20 in November. Haley will be 13 next Wednesday, and Kyle just turned 8!!!!
Having a lot of fun with the kids this summer. Vacation in a week and a half. We need the time off. We have ran ran ran with baseball/softball and now starting soccer for Haley(Kyle didn't want to play.) AWWW the joys of parenthood. Is it bad that we LOVE watching the play but we LOVE it when the season is over? They probably do too!

My mom has been in her apt for almost a year, and seems to be doing well. I worry about her, but I can not let that consume me the way it used to do. My dad seems to be traveling some, so that is great for him!

Dave, just turned 38! WHEW!
I, on the other hand, am doing ok. Just getting ready to do school shopping(ALREADY) and then it's back to the school routine!

SUMMER TIME IS FLYING BY...

As I type this, I am preparing to send Kyle to 2nd grade! This whole summer has flown by. Alex leaves for EKU in 2 weeks, and Miss Haley will be prepping for her 6th grade year!

Kyle has decided not to play soccer this year, but we will still be making our way to the fields to watch Haley play! Kyle says he just wants to do Baseball and Basketball.

My mom is still in the nursing home, we are HOPING that SS comes through for her, she is truly needing it. There is no way she can work and support herself. She needs somewhere she can call home, but does need the helping hand she deserves. She will need someone to look in on her daily to make sure her meds are being taken and such.

Everything else, not news to report as of now.

IT'S HOT

Going into a weekend without the kids. :o) Fridays are nice but by Saturday I really miss Kyle, Dave does too. He is so much fun to have around. The girls are too. But Kyle has so much of me in him.

My mom is still in the nursing home. She called and said that she may be going to live in an Assisted Living situation. We will see. Tasha took Kyle to see her today, and Tasha said she cried the whole time. She really misses seeing him.

He had a baseball game last night. He got 3 GREAT hits. We were all so proud of him! He knew it too. He loved running home and making a score for his team. He also chose baseball over soccer for the Fall too. Surprisingly. His dad is happy with that decision though :o)

SPRING HAS SPRUNG

IT'S RAINING IT'S POURING....NOW WAIT...THAT'S SNOW

Kyle's birthday is coming up in a week(YIKES) Crystal now lives in OH, and Alex is getting ready to graduate. I have to give a shout out to Haley, she is doing well, too. My mom seems to be getting better, but doesn't seem closer to moving out. Sometimes I feel like she is stuck in a rut. She seems better now that she is on her meds DAILY. It's amazing how an anti-depressant can alter you so quickly, in a good way. Dave is doing well, we just had our 3rd wedding anniversary. I love him sooooo much. Life is good.

It's been a while, a lot has happened. What to say, where to start? Kyle is now a FIRST GRADER...Alex is a SENIOR and will be 18 on November 9th!!! and Haley is a FIFTH GRADER!!! I can not believe it. My mom has lived with us for almost 2 months, and Poppy has been gone a year....ALL IN ALL, pretty bitter sweet.

Just taking it one day at a time, and loving every minute with my family. Nothing makes me happier.

TAKE A MINUTE

It's been about 4 months since my last post, my mom is still needing a job, but my baby is almost done with Kindergarten. I can not believe it. Alex is going to her first college visit and Haley is about to turn 11.

We have found out that Dave's step sister has cancer, and is going to have a pretty rough year with it. We will keep her in our prayers.

That's all for now

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Well, it's already almost February. Time sure flies. Hopefully 2010 will be a less emotional year than 2009. Kyle turns 6, Haley 11, and Alex will be 18. I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT.

Seems like Tasha and Ted are doing well, and Dave and I are so lucky to be together. He's truly the love of my life.

My mom seems to be on the mend, now she just needs to be looking for a job. I seriously worry about that. I don't know why I stress when no one else seems to be. Happy that we are going into a weekend with the kids!!!!

IT'S BEEN A WHILE

Well, it's been a while. Since I last posted, the McClain family has suffered a great loss in the passing of Jim. This has been pretty hard on Kyle. He has a lot of questions, some that I can answer and some I don't know how to answer. He was a very quite man, that we all loved very much!

On to Christmas...I am doing my best to get the shopping done, and the kids are helping with the excitement. They are SOOOO ready. I am too, for the long weekends.

My diet is doing ok, I have lost about 5 lbs or so. So, can't complain I guess. Just drinking lots of water and really controlling my carb intake. I don't want to me sooo skinny again, I just want to lose 40 lbs or so to be comfortable in my own skin again....

to be continued...

MY BABY IS GETTING TOO BIG

Kyle is already in to the second 9 weeks at school. I can not believe it. I don't think he can take a bad picture. I am just really proud to be his mommy.

THE DAY AFTER THE FUNERAL

Kitty looked really good. It was a sad thing to see though. She loved her family very much. 63 is so young to go. At least she isn't in pain. We didn't stay for the service, had to pick the kids up from Dave's dads house to get them fed so Haley could get picked up. I would have cried if I stayed longer than we did. I didn't know her very well, but I am missing her anyway. I know that life goes on, but she was loved so much by her family, and it's a great loss.

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 8, 2009

Saturday was a sad day. My sister's MIL passed away after a short battle with cancer. It is a sad time for their family. My BIL's father passed away when he was little from the same horrible disease. As a mommy, I am grieving because I know one day I too will pass and leave Kyle to cry for me. As a sister, I am grieving because I know how much this women meant to that family. As a friend I grieve because they grieve. I hate it. It's final and I hate it.

At least she is no longer in pain and the kids were all able to be there to see her take her final breathe. I am not quite sure why it is making me so sad. I wasn't close to her.

RIP Kitty LeMarr

WOW, it's November

I will be 29 this month. I can not believe it. I remember thinking that 29 was soooo old. LOL. I don't quite feel that way anymore. We are going to see TSO this weekend. YEAH! I have been wanting to see them for a few years now. I am the only one that is excited about it. It should be fun.

Trick or Treating was fun. I remember running the whole time trying to get as much candy as possible. Kyle and Haley wore out in an hour. They did get lots of candy though. We love watching them have a good time. Kyle told me last night he doesn't want to grow up because it's fun being little. He has no idea how much I want him to stay my little boy. But, it's awesome to see the person he is growing into. He is a good mix of Jon and I. I do see a little Dave in him at times though. I hope that Kyle and Dave can stay close. He has such a good relationship with his daddy, and I know Dave is his buddy and loves to do fun "guy" things with him. He can't wait to take him hunting. Jon can't wait to be in the garage with him. Kyle does have the best of both worlds. Those kids have no idea of the amount of love people have for them.

Alex didn' have to work this weekend, and it was nice to know she was there. She did get to catch a late movie with her friend Saturday night, and I know she enjoyed that. Dave and I are making plans to meet her for her birthday dinner Friday night. We are making an effort to try and do a little one-on-one with each of them for their birthday. Haley seemed to enjoy it, and I know Alex will, too. Kyle loves going places with us, so I am sure he will get a kick out of it as well.

DAY 1, GETTING READY FOR HALLOWEEN

Tomorrow is another exciting day of chasing the kids down the road, hoping people use common sense while driving and watch for the kids running around. Thankful it's on Saturday this year. Usually, we have to rush home to get ready for bed. So this is a welcome change.

Kyle is going to be Indiana Jones. He is awesome and loves to use his imagination. He is the reason that I love being a parent. He is a great kid. Moody, but I guess he gets that from me :o) Haley-Baley is going to be a "Princess" She is so cute. And Alex is going to a movie with her friend. Times have changed for sure. I just enjoy what time we have with them, they are growing so fast.
